When you get close to the town of Jelka, please look out for our blue billboards and follow them to the fish farm. As an alternative, we prepared another route below. Driving directions

As an alternative, we prepared another route below. It leads from Vienna directely to Jelka, using various freeways and highways. Caution: Freeways in Austria as well as Slovakia are toll roads! The following instructions are also available as a download in form of a .pdf file (click here). Starting from Vienna the total trip time is about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Leg one : Vienna -> National border

Starting at Vienna, use the highway B9 (Bundesstraße 9 ) or the freeway A4 (Autobahn A4) and drive towards the east. The B9 will lead you through the villages of Hainburg and Wolfsthal until you reach the national border of Slowakia. Use the border crossing at Berg.
If you prefer the freeway then use the exit at Parndorf and continue driving through Parndorf, Neudorf and Gattendorf always following the signs towards the Slovakian national border. After passing through Gattendorf you have to drive in the direction of Kittsee but take a right before reaching the town when you see a sign showing the direction to the national border. Use the border crossing at Kittsee.

Leg two : Bratislava -> Jelka

After crossing the border you will continue driving on the freeway D2 in the direction of Bratislava, towards Žilina/Nitra. This freeway will change to a regular street which crosses the town. Follow it until you reach the bridge over the river Danube and continue in this direction. At this point the street will become a freeway again, named freeway D1/E75. After about 14 kilometers you will reach the exit Senec (easily recognizable by the huge central warehouse of the company "Billa" to the right; They feature a bright yellow and red logo which you can see from far away).

Please use this exit and take a right at the next crossroad (direction: Senec). Continue on this road, drive across the roundabout (direction: Nitra / Sered), drive over the 2 bridges until you reach a second roundabout (The hotel Medea is located there). Cross this roundabout, too, and drive past the hotel. After one kilometer you will reach another crossroad. Please turn to your right, in the direction of the village Kralova pri Senci and the airport (you will see a sign at this crosroad, reading "letisko" and a little airplane symbol). Drive through Kralova pri Senci. 2 kilometers later follows the village of Hruba Borsa. Here you must take a right turn in the direction of Jelka (look for the blue sign saying:"Rybaren sv. Petra").

Cross the village Jelka (just drive straigt ahead and follow the road all the time and follow the signs pointing to Novy Zivot). Exactely one kilometer after this small town you will see our big, blue billboard on the right-hand side. Here you must turn to your left (Caution: dangerous bends are in this area!). Now you're only one kilometer away from us! Follow the road through the fields and take a turn to the right when possible. After turning, continue on this road past the historical water mill until you reach the fish farm.
